Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be hopeful to have all his players available to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Blues have a big game against reigning champions Manchester City and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted that while one of his key wingers will be fit for the clash, another one might be unavailable for the game.
Christian Pulisic suffered a hip injury in our last game before the international break against Crystal Palace and had to miss international football with the United States as the Chelsea medical team tried to ensure he’d recover on time to face Pep Guardiola’s men. Meanwhile, another Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi returned from international duty with a hamstring injury.
Speaking on Hudson-Odoi’s fitness, Lampard said: “Everyone has come back healthy and well.
“Callum is probably the one who has a hamstring issue picked up in the England game so he will struggle to be in contention for this game but we’re hoping it’s more short-term.”
Hudson had only just returned from an Achilles tendon injury that kept him out of action for five months. Lampard will be hopeful the 19-year-old doesn’t suffer another injury that will keep him out again for long.
