Ahead of the game against Manchester City on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has spoken about the fitness of Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic.
The American international didn’t join his national team during the international break after picking up a hip injury in the game against Crystal Palace.
Lampard has revealed the American international has been training and is in contention for the game against Manchester City.
Asked about the latest on Pulisic’s injury, Lampard told reporters: “He didn’t go (for international duty) and we had full-on communication with the States and the manager and medical team.
“I like to be really open and transparent with that because I respect that they want their top players, as he is.
“He had a problem going into the last game against Palace, hence why he came off after his goal. He missed the two games, has started to train again this week so he’s in contention to play.”
