Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount walked off injured during Chelsea’s 4-4 draw against Ajax on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.
The midfielder was withdrawn in the 60th minute against Ajax with an ankle injury and it’s the second time he’s picking up an injury in the Champions League this season after he also suffered an ankle injury against Valencia.
Lampard moved to ease concerns that Mount might be out for long after suggesting the midfielder’s injury is minor.
“They’ve strapped his ankle and hopefully it’s relatively minor,” Lampard said.
Mount has played in every Premier League game this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists. He could be available for selection this weekend against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
