The contributions of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic have been excellent this season and their performance was again outstanding as Chelsea defeated Watford 2-1 at the Vicarage Road.
Kovacic and Jorginho have formed a good partnership in midfield, and the duo just seem to complement themselves.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard hailed the performance of the two midfielders after the game against Watford.
Lampard said: “Kovacic, his ability to play – him and Jorgi together – and then that ability to drive from midfield, that’s not the norm.
“As a midfield player it’s your worst nightmare having a player who can play and then drive by you out of nowhere.
“He was doing that today to great effect. Really pleased with him.”
Speaking more on Jorginho, Lampard added: “Some goals make you really happy.
“With Watford today we did feel their line is quite high and the timing is perfect.
“Listen, you can try that many times, you can overhit them, you can underhit them but I think the threat of playing behind should always be there and that was spot on.”
