The form of Kepa Arrizabalaga has been heavily criticised this season. The Spaniard has the lowest percentage of shots saved in the Premier League this season, saving just 48.7 percent of shots he has saved this season.
Arrizabalaga has also been criticised for his performance in the 2-2 draw against Valencia on Wednesday night with critics blaming the Spaniard for both goals conceded by Chelsea.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard insists he’s happy with Arrizabalaga despite his form because of the attitude of the Spaniard and how he trains every day.
“I’m happy,” Lampard said when asked if he’s happy with Arrizabalaga.
“I know Kepa as a professional is a keeper who – and you can see it in his attitude and how he trains every day – is striving to be better, as he should do at his age and the status that he’s at.
“He will want to get better all the time, and there have been a few instances this season where he would be the first one to say he can do better. That’s football at the top level, but I’m happy with him and his work ethic.”
