Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is reportedly interested in Leicester City’s £70m rated left-back Ben Chilwell.

Lampard is on the lookout for an attacking left-back and has identified the 22 year old as a priority signing.

Chilwell showed why Lampard is desperate to sign him as he produced a man of the match performance in England’s 7-0 thrashing of Montenegro, a result which secured England’s qualification for the Euro 2020.

Chilwell, starting ahead of Danny Rose, picked out Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with a brilliant ball for England’s opener.

Chilwell swung in a free-kick from the left-back as Harry Kane headed to score England’s second. Chilwell was the architect again as Kane nodded home England’s third six minutes later from his corner.

Lampard would have watched the game and he would have been impressed with Chilwell’s performance for England.

Chilwell has shown this season for Leicester City that he is very good defensively and also brilliant going forward.
