Mason Mount’s dad Tony Mount has revealed that his son won’t rest on his recent breakthrough and says that there’s always a next step for Mason to climb.

Tony Mount has urged Mason to cement his place in the Chelsea team and believes that the only way he can do that is to work hard.

Tony also revealed that his son wants to win trophies with Chelsea and that he’s targeting double figures in goals and assists this season.

He exclusively told Starsport: “His next step is to continue to stay in the Chelsea XI and become established because it is early days yet.

“He wants to hit his targets and we have spoken before the season and he wants double figures in goals and assists.

“So he has to work hard because it is the biggest league in the world and it does not come easy so the next step is to establish himself.

“There is only one thing on his mind and that is to play, be successful and bring trophies back to Chelsea and that is something that Mason has done all his life.”
