Chelsea are in a tricky Champions League group that includes Lille, Valencia and last year’s semifinalists Ajax.

Ajax are Chelsea’s biggest opponent in this group and the Dutch side are indeed a top side to play against.

Chelsea and Ajax are level on points in the Champions League group H with six points apiece, and both sides will meet at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

The Blues are in good form and have won their last five league matches, but Chelsea boss Frank Lampard insists that the Champions League is a different ball game.

Chelsea defeated Ajax on their home turf at the Johan Cruyff ArenA, but Lampard has revealed he is taking nothing for granted ahead of Tuesday’s game.

“It’s a nice platform in terms of confidence, but when you step into the Champions League it’s always different,” he said.

“We’ll have a big test against Ajax because of the quality of their team. We faced them two weeks ago and saw how good they are on the ball and the problems they’ll give us. We’re confident, but we understand it’ll be tough.”
