Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been appointed manager of rivals Tottenham.
Mourinho will be manager of Tottenham until 2023 after replacing Mauricio Pochettino, who was sacked by Tottenham on Tuesday.
Mourinho’s first game will be at the London Stadium on Saturday as Spurs travel to take on West Ham in the Premier League.
Mourinho will face Chelsea as Tottenham Hotspur boss on 22 December when the Blues visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Mourinho has now revealed that he is glad to join Chelsea’s rivals Spurs and also hailed the club’s heritage.
“I am excited to be joining a club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters,” Mourinho said following his appointment.
“The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me.”
