Valencia defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge back in September, but the Blues have since improved under Frank Lampard.

Valencia are 10th in La Liga, but Frank Lampard’s side have been on an outstanding run of form since, winning nine games out of 13 in all competitions since the defeat to Valencia.

Despite Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, Valencia captain Dani Parejo is wary of the Chelsea threat and has hailed Lampard’s side as one of the best teams in Europe.

Parejo has urged his side to be focused against Chelsea so they can get a good result.

Parejo said in his press conference: “They are one of the best teams in the world because of their name, their history and everything else. They are in fantastic form even though they lost to Manchester City the other day.

“But we have to focus on us. We have shown we can compete against any team, whether it’s in Spain or in Europe. We don’t need to motivate ourselves at all for this one given who we are up against and what is at stake.”
