Watford are bottom of the Premier League and are yet to win a Premier League game this season after 11 round of matches, losing 6 and drawing 5.
It was a devastating victory yet again for the Hornets as Chelsea were very dominant against them at the Vicarage Road, and the home side were lucky to lose only 2-1, thanks to the brilliance of Ben Foster in goal.
The season hasn’t gone midway yet but Watford are already with their second manager as Quique Sánchez Flores returned for a second spell to replace Javi Gracia.
Flores admitted after the game that the early Tammy Abraham goal unsettled his side and also admitted that Chelsea were the better side in the game.
According to the official Watford website, Flores said: “When we concede so early it is hard for us but we kept in it.
“We’re working hard. We are trying to create positive energy in the stadium. Chelsea were better than us but we had the last chance to take a point. We need to be taking these things if we want to build something. We need to get in good habits.”
Speaking about Tammy Abraham’s goal, Flores said: “The first goal we are not completely happy with.
“We know Abraham is making this kind of move and we have three defenders. In the second half we are able to counter this run. It was an easy chance for them, the first goal. The second goal, they have good players and they are able to make us suffer more than we wanted.”
