Chelsea played out a 2-2 draw with Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium on Wednesday evening, in what was a thrilling Champions League group game that saw both sides fighting for the draw.

Chelsea were 8 minutes away from securing qualification to the knockout stage of the Champions League after going ahead 2-1 before Dane Wass grabbed a fortuitous equaliser for the hosts.

The game against Valencia was end-to-end from start to finish and neither team really deserved to lose.

According to Sky Sports, Jorginho and Andreas Christensen were the two worst players on the night for Chelsea, and were both given a 5/10 rating.

Sky Sports said of Christensen: “Came into the team in place of Fikayo Tomori for his first start since the end of September. Showed good covering pace early on, but looked rusty from then on. Almost cost his side a goal early in the first half when his poor clearance fell to Rodrigo. Struggled as Valencia piled on the pressure late on.”

Sky Sports said of Jorginho: “A difficult evening for the Italian, who struggled to keep pace with Valencia’s midfield runners. An early booking for a clumsy foul on Ferran Torres did not help him, and he later conceded the foul for Valencia’s penalty. Substituted in the second half as Frank Lampard switched up his system.”

The Mirror also agreed that Andreas Christensen was the worst on the pitch for Chelsea: “Big call to pick him ahead of Tomori and the change left defence vulnerable.”

The analyst from the Real Chelsea Fans also gave Christensen a 5/10 rating. Indeed it was a poor night for the Dane who hasn’t played for the Blues in over a month.
