The worst signing of the top six clubs in the Premier League have been revealed.

According to ESPN, former Chelsea striker Fernando Torres is Chelsea’s worst signing since 2009.

Torres joined Chelsea from Liverpool in January 2011 for a then British record transfer fee. After scoring 81 goals in 142 appearances for Liverpool, Torres only managed 45 goals in 172 games for Chelsea.

Torres never lived up to the high expectations at Chelsea but managed to score some important goals for the Blues including that goal against Barcelona in the Nou Camp in our Champions League winning season.

Andy Carroll was named as Liverpool’s worst signing since 2009, Eliaquim Mangala named as Manchester City’s worst signing since 2009, Vincent Janssen named as Tottenham’s worst signing since 2009, Alexis Sanchez named as Manchester United’s worst signing since 2009 and Park Chu-Young named as Arsenal’s worst signing since 2009.

Do you agree Torres is our worst signing since 2009?
