Tottenham Hotspur has appointed Jose Mourinho to become the new club boss following the sack of Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday night.

Pochettino had led Spurs to the Champions League final last season and is responsible for making the north London club a top side in the Premier League. However, following a dismal start to the season, Pochettino has been axed as manager of Tottenham with Jose Mourinho given the job.

Mourinho is now among the top earners in the league as Daily Mail claim Mourinho will pocket double the salary Pochettino did at Tottenham.

Mourinho will reportedly earn £15million a year at Tottenham in wages after being appointed Mauricio Pochettino’s successor.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is the best paid manager in the Premier League with an annual salary of £20m.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is the least paid manager among the top six clubs in the Premier League.

Frank Lampard earns £5m yearly as Chelsea boss, the same as Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers.
