Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi was criticised by Roy Keane for his performance in England’s 4-0 victory over Kosovo on Sunday.
Hudson-Odoi started the match on the left alongside Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling in a front three but failed to impress and was substituted just before the hour mark.
Keane believes Hudson-Odoi is yet to take his chance on the international stage.
“Hudson-Odoi hasn’t taken his chance yet,” Keane told ITV.
“He isn’t stretching the defence and has given the ball away too cheaply. He needs to step his game up in the second half.”
Former Arsenal player Lee Dixon warned Hudson-Odoi there isn’t much time left to convince Gareth Southgate he should be part of the Euro 2020 squad.
“There are only two games left before the squad is announced,” explained Dixon.
“He needs to just run at his full-back. He has to attack more rather than playing the ball inside.”
