Jose Mourinho has been appointed as the manager of Tottenham until 2023 after replacing Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked on Tuesday night.

Pochettino didn’t survive the international break as his Spurs side were 14th in the league, and the Argentine has lost his job despite leading Tottenham to the Champions League final last season.

Mourinho’s first job is against fellow Londoners West Ham on Saturday.

The Hammers have taken a dig at Mourinho as they made fun of Jose’s defeats against the club.

The East London side posted highlights of their occasional wins against Chelsea and Man United during Jose’s tenure, and the accompanying video was captioned ‘See you on Saturday, Jose’ as well as a wink emoji.

The video also includes Mourinho’s comments about West Ham after a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge, when the Portuguese hit out at West Ham’s style of play, branding their football ’19th Century football’ under then manager Sam Allardyce.

However, the video was taken off after comments from even the Hammers fans as they didn’t buy the stunt.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has a very impressive record against the East London side in the Premier League: 9 wins, 3 draws and only 2 defeats.
