Frank Lampard’s Chelsea hauled themselves back from the dead to earn a 4-4 draw against Ajax at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Ajax raced into a 4-1 lead after 55 minutes but the Blues scored three goals through Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho and Reece James to ensure the game ended 4-4.
Ajax boss Erik ten Hag believes his team deserved to get four points across the two games against Chelsea.
Ten Hag said: “I feel we deserved four points from the games against Chelsea.
“We played magnificently tonight, we dictated the game. At 4-2 we were in control.”
Ten Hag believes Ajax can still go through to the knockout stage despite the 4-4 draw against Chelsea.
He added: “We have two games to go; we have to go for it and stay in the Champions League after the winter.”
