Willian’s Chelsea contract expires in June 2020 and the Brazilian will able to talk to foreign clubs in January, with Barcelona and Juventus reportedly interested, if no agreement is reached with Chelsea before the end of the year.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard wants the club to extend Willian’s contract and the board have been in talks with the Brazilian but both parties are yet to agree on a key detail.

According to The Athletic, contract talks between Chelsea and Willian has not moved significantly forward because Willian wants a two-year deal and Chelsea are only willing to offer a one-year deal.

Speaking on Willian’s contract situation, Lampard recently said: “I can’t get involved in the money, that’s up to the club, but I think everyone sees from what I’m saying, and I’m relying on him and picking him and he’s producing, I love him at this football club.”
