Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be up against Mikel Arteta for Sunday’s London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
While Lampard have little injury fears to worry about, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be without seven first team players.
Check out the injured Arsenal players as revealed by the club’s official website: “Hector Bellerin: Tight right hamstring. Being assessed ahead of Chelsea (h).
“Calum Chambers: Available for selection after suspension.
“Dani Ceballos: Back in full training (from hamstring). Being assessed ahead of Chelsea (h).
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has only Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Reece James as his injured players.
Lampard and Arteta played against each other during their playing days before the duo ventured into management since retiring from their playing career.
This will be Arteta’s second game in charge of Arsenal having overseen a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in his first game in charge of the Gunners.
However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has dismissed talks about Arteta being inexperienced as the Spaniard has worked with a great manager in Pep Guardiola.
“He has worked under one of the greatest, if not the greatest, so I don’t buy the whole ‘Inexperienced One’,” Lampard said.
“Who’s to say a manger is better or worse if they are in their first or 50th year of management? Arteta would have seen the daily challenges at City but he would have observed them more. Now it’s his turn to make those decisions himself.”
