Tammy Abraham is having a good season as the 22-year-old is in top form, and he was at hand to score the opening goal for Chelsea against Lille.
It’s Abraham’s first season in the Champions League and he doesn’t look unfazed. The Chelsea striker has also revealed that he’s keen to get into the knockout stages of the competition – a level he hasn’t played at in his career.
“Very excited, we came into the game knowing we needed to win today and thankfully we did,” said Abraham after the game.
Tammy Abraham also revealed that Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta is the reason behind his goalscoring form as the Chelsea right-back keeps telling him to always get into the box.
He said: “I can’t wait for the next round. For me it was just about getting in the box, this guy’s [Azpilicueta] always telling me ‘run across the goal’ and that’s what I did, luckily for me I was in the right place at the right time.”
