According to FCInterNews.it, talks are underway between Inter Milan and Chelsea over out-of-favour Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso.
Since his halftime substitution in the 4-4 draw against Ajax in November, Alonso is yet to feature for the Blues.
Inter Milan are reportedly willing to sign Alonso on loan with an option to buy. The Serie A leaders are willing to pay €2 million for the loan and a further €18 million to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent basis.
Chelsea are happy to let Alonso join Inter Milan on loan in January but the Blues would rather Inter had an obligation to buy rather than just an option.
Chelsea also want closer to €25 million for Alonso instead of the €18 million Inter Milan are offering.
Alonso is reportedly open to a return to Italian football, where he previously spent three years with Fiorentina.
