Spanish club Atletico Madrid are desperate to reinforce their attack in January and are reportedly lining up a move for striker Olivier Giroud.
This is according to a report on Daily Mail.
Atletico Madrid’s last two striker acquisitions have been from Chelsea (Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata) and Giroud could become the third striker Atletico Madrid will sign from Chelsea in the last three years.
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is desperate for some added attacking thrust and has identified Giroud as a possibility, with the Frenchman keen on leaving Chelsea after falling down the pecking order under Frank Lampard.
Giroud has played only seven times this season and is being considered as an alternative to PSG striker Edinson Cavani.
