Chelsea couldn’t have asked for a tougher draw as the Blues have been drawn to face German champions Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Frank Lampard’s young squad will be up against German champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League second round and it promises to be a big test for the Blues.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has revealed that he’s confident with the draw against Chelsea and that his side are capable of going through to the next round.
Muller said: “We are relatively confident, I feel pretty good with the draw.
“You [the German media] have already planted Bayern as the favourite, I like that, that’s exactly what we want.”
Champions League football resumes in February as first leg ties will be played on 18-19 February and 25-26 February, with the second legs taking place on 10-11 March and 17-18 March.
Chelsea will host Munich at Stamford Bridge on February 25 before going away to Bayern Munich on the 18th of March.
