Chelsea transfer target Jadon Sancho is feeling fed up in Germany after receiving a fine from Borussia Dortmund for returning late from international duty in October.
Sancho’s desire to leave Borussia Dortmund has reportedly alerted top European clubs.
Sancho felt humiliated when Dortmund coach Lucien Favre hauled him off after just 36 minutes in Dortmund’s 4-0 loss at Bayern Munich last month. Favre went on to bench the Blues target in last Wednesday’s Champions League away encounter with Barcelona, which has further fueled his exit rumours.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has now confirmed that Jadon Sancho’s conflict with the club has been settled and the 19-year-old is likely to finish the 2019/20 season with the club. However, he didn’t give any assurances regarding his stay beyond the summer.
“We’ve cleared everything internally in the team and with the player,” he said. “It’s done, we’re looking forward. Jadon is another regular player and he is part of our team. I believe that when he came on against Barcelona, we witnessed a good response and he did a very good job.
“I do not have the impression that he wants to prepare for a January move. We talked to him and his agency. We hope he shows his best possible performance tomorrow.”
Sancho is a boyhood Chelsea fan and the Blues could land him at the end of the season when the transfer ban has been lifted.
