QPR striker Eberechi Eze has been linked with a move to Chelsea following his good form with Queens Park Rangers in the Championship.
The 21-year-old has scored 7 goals and assisted 4 in 19 Championship games, and was strongly linked with a move to Tottenham.
According to The Sun, Eze had been hoping for a move to Tottenham, but that move now looks less likely with the recent sacking of Mauricio Pochettino. Jose Mourinho won’t be interested in signing the young forward.
Chelsea have kept an eye on Eze in recent times, and this could now be the perfect opportunity for Chelsea to poach the England Under-21 international.
Meanwhile Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be sweating to have back Tammy Abraham fit for Wednesday’s game with Aston Villa. The 22-year-old went off with a hip injury in the 2-2 draw against Valencia in the Champions League clash last week.
Asked whether Abraham will be fit for Aston Villa clash, Lampard said: “We’ll find out Monday or Tuesday. He needs to get outside and move a little bit outside over the next two days.”
