Chelsea defender Reece James has impressed for the Blues this season since he was given a chance in to team up with the first team following his recovery from an ankle injury.
The 19-year-old has been a mainstay in the Chelsea defence since his impressive performance in the 4-4 draw against Valencia.
Following his impressive performance last season, the 19-year-old is now set to sign a new long-term contract with Chelsea.
James current deal expires in 2022, and the youngster is set to tie down his long-term future to the Blues, report claims.
Despite the lifting of the transfer ban, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted that he still has plans for the Chelsea youngsters who have broken into the team.
He said: “The young players are here to stay, and the young players beneath that.
“We’re not going to line up Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Reece James and sell them.”
