Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been slammed by Chelsea fans for taking off Christian Pulisic and Willian while Mason Mount played 90 minutes against Bournemouth.
Lampard took off Pulisic and Willian for Callum Hudson-Odoi and Mateo Kovacic but the tactical change did not go down well with Chelsea fans as they believe Mason Mount should have been withdrawn.
One Chelsea fan tweeted: “How can you withdraw Willian and Pulisic in a crucial match like this. I am beginning to doubt Frankie’s capability. This is just silly. What is [Marcos] Alonso doing on the bench. Lampard please, Stop spoiling our weekend.”
Another supporter wrote: “That decision to sub Pulisic made no sense. Our only creative spark who can dribble & drive the ball to dangerous area is taken off yet Mount who was not better than Pulisic or Willian today played the whole 90mins while being on ghost mode? Its all on Lamps.”
Another commented: “But why will a coach remove Willian and Pulisic in a match you’re still on draw. #lampardout.”
One other fan wrote: “It’s about time we start questioning and blaming Lampard. His love for Mount would cost him his job. How tf would you substitute Willian and Pulisic at once and bring on ‘Odoi’ while Mount was adding absolutely nothing positively to the game? And let me not even start with Kepa.”
