Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey was a spectator on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea defeated Lille 2-1 to go through to the second round of the Champions League.

The 50-year-old actor took a break from his The Gentlemen promotional duties to watch the game at Stamford Bridge and he met up with the players afterwards.

The American actor seemed to be the lucky charm for the Blues, as Chelsea beat Lille in their Champions League group game to go through to the next round.

The Oscar winner had a shirt presented with his name on at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

He then posed for photos with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, Tammy Abraham and a host of Chelsea players.
