Chelsea scouts have compiled a list of forwards who might be able to inject fresh impetus into the club’s season, as Frank Lampard prepares to spend his £150million transfer budget, according to Daily Telegraph.
The list contains Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace. Timo Werner of RB Leipzig, Moussa Dembele of Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey and Villareal’s Samuel Chukwueze are also on the list.
It is believed the participation of Werner and Dembele in the last-16 of the Champions League would appear to make a January deal for either man difficult. Werner’s RB Leipzig have been handed a tie with Tottenham Hotspur, while Dembele’s Lyon have been drawn to face Juventus.
Bailey has been a player Chelsea have tracked for a number of years and the 22-year-old has scored four goals so far this season. 20 year old Nigerian international Chukwueze have impressed Chelsea scouts with his performances for Villarreal.
Sancho is unlikely to be available in January but Zaha will be available with the winger keen on leaving Crystal Palace for a top club.
Chelsea have lost four of our last five Premier League games and Lampard is keen on adding some unpredictability to the team.
