Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is set to leave the club in January after failing to get enough game time this season under Frank Lampard.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Inter Milan and the Blues have already started seeking a replacement for the Frenchman.

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea scouts watched strikers Moussa Dembele and Timo Werner on Tuesday evening.

Chelsea scouts took a closer look at Lyon’s Dembele and Werner of RB Leipzig during the Champions League Group G draw that saw both sides progress to the next round.

23 year old Werner scored his 20th goal of the season in just 22 appearances in the 2-2 draw between Lyon and RB Leipzig. He is reportedly valued at around £52 million.

Chelsea contemplated a bid for Dembele in 2017 before the 23-year old joined Lyon for £19.7million last year.
