Chelsea were below par in the 1-0 defeat to West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
Following a goalless first-half, the Blues got stunned shortly after the restart, as Aaron Cresswell beat Reece James and put a nice shot past the reach of Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Surprisingly, in the game against the Hammers, Chelsea failed to make any foul all through 90 minutes, showing just how much Chelsea didn’t come to the party.
There were no tackles flying in from Chelsea, neither was there any technical foul, and the Blues didn’t play with intensity compared to the visiting side who committed 16 fouls and made life difficult for the home team.
It is the first time since stats company Opta started collating records in 2003 that Chelsea have gone through an entire 90 minutes without giving up a free-kick.
Also, West Ham got their first win at Stamford Bridge for the first time in 17 years as the Blues slumped to a 1-0 defeat at home.
Chelsea must now be watchful of Tottenham Hotspur who have won their last two league games and are now six points behind Chelsea.
