RB Salzburg striker Erling Haaland has been urged to shun a January move amid interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

This is according to RB Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund.

The 19 year old striker is in demand after scoring 28 goals in 21 matches including 8 Champions League goals in just 6 games.

Speaking to the Independent, Freund said: “Haaland is a different case. He’s still very young, this is only his first year with Salzburg.

“He’s done exceptional in the last months and I hope he spends many more months with us, at least until the summer.

“I think it’s very important for him to play one full season as an important player in a professional team. This helps [the players] be ready for the rest of their careers.”
