The Blues will celebrate 50 years since our first FA Cup triumph in 1970 with an anniversary shirt.

For our FA Cup win over Leeds United in 1970, the Blues adopted yellow socks and yellow trim on the blue shorts, a change from our traditional white socks and trim in order to avoid colour clashes with the opposition. To complete the look we adopted a golden lion badge to be in keeping with the rest of the trim detail.

Our anniversary shirt pays tribute to the kit worn for our successful FA Cup final replay against Leeds United in 1970.

The kit will be on pitch for the third round FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on 5 January.

Mason Mount said: “It’s a classy, stylish and sophisticated shirt, a great way of remembering the iconic team of 1970 that paved the way for the successes of today. We know fans of all ages are going to love its simple design.”
