The Blues will face newly promoted Aston Villa on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge. The game will see Chelsea legend John Terry, now assistant manager at Aston Villa, return to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be eager to guide the Blues back to winning ways after back-to-back defeats in the Premier League for Chelsea (2-1 loss to Manchester City and 1-0 loss to West Ham).

The referee for Chelsea’s game against Aston Villa is Chris Kavanagh. His assistants are Daniel Cook and Sian Massey-Ellis. The fourth official is Darren England while the VAR officials are David Coote and Nick Hopton.

Kavanagh has already taken charge of 10 Premier League games so far this season, showing 36 yellow cards as well awarding 4 penalties.
