Chelsea have been linked with a January move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has revealed that Crystal Palace won’t sell Chelsea target Wilfried Zaha unless they receive their asking price.

Speaking after the Ivorian rescued a 1-1 draw for the Eagles with Brighton, he said: “If we lose Wilf that only exacerbates the problem.

“The club has no desperate need to sell him. We’re not going bankrupt.

“I’m counting on Wilf but one can never say what will happen.

“We had three players who could play left back and we’ve lost all three. We’ve been decimated by injuries. Many of them long term.”

Asking price !? Expensive at half his asking price. Why is Frank so fixated with a winger when we still have at least 4. Better strengthen the defence and if he must buy another winger make it one that actually improves our squad. I think Zaha showed he isn’t a big club player with his Man U transfer and he prefers to cause problems (ducking and mostly diving) rather than playing the game. We need quality experienced players who can make a difference on the pitch and help our multitude of youngsters grow.
