Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has hit out at Chelsea fans who criticised the tactics of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard at halftime against Arsenal.
Chelsea started in a 3-4-3 against Arsenal with Lampard switching to a 4-3-3 after withdrawing Emerson Palmieri for Jorginho after 35 minutes.
The Blues went into the break 1-0 behind but Lampard’s tactical change gave Chelsea more control in midfield.
The Blues dominated possession in the second half before scoring two late goals through Jorginho and Tammy Abraham.
Sutton said: “The Chelsea fans who were moaning at half-time saying Frank ‘didn’t know what he was doing’ have a different view at full-time.
“It’s a huge win for him. Let’s be honest, though, we have seen an improvement from Arsenal’s defence with the exception of the mistake by the jittery German in goal.
“They were so comfortable for most of the game and you couldn’t see them getting back into the game.
“I think there are sides of improvement, but it’s same old Arsenal.”
