Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane believes Tottenham have the momentum at the moment ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Tottenham at the Tottenham Stadium.
When Jose Mourinho took charge of Tottenham, they were 12 points behind but that gap has now been reduced to just three points.
“Even before Chelsea’s defeat on Saturday [against Bournemouth], we said it’s two important games. We knew how much it meant to win at Wolves and with Chelsea losing the day before it meant even more,” Kane said as quoted by the Evening Standard.
“We have the momentum at the moment. But next weekend is the big one. If we can win that and push into the top four, then we have fixtures over the Christmas period that we feel we can definitely win.
“Whenever a new manager comes in, everyone’s ready, wants to work, wants to impress. But it’s important that we carry it on.”
