Holland international Nathan Ake is reportedly open to re-joining Chelsea in January.
This is according to a report on The Athletic via The Sun.
Despite being ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury, the 24 year old Bournemouth defender is wanted by Chelsea in January.
Manchester City, Tottenham and Everton have also been linked with Ake ahead of the January transfer window but Chelsea are reportedly favourites to sign Ake as the Blues inserted a £40 million buyback clause in the deal that took him to Bournemouth.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe recently admitted Ake’s future at Bournemouth is out of his control amid interest from Chelsea.
Howe said: “It would be obviously my wish to hold on to everybody. Some of these things are out of our control.
“We will wait and see. A lot of things with transfers, trying to bring players in, trying to keep the squad we have, is out of my hands.”
