Chelsea youngsters have been formed a core part of the team under Frank Lampard, and the Blues academy products have impressed.
However, results have dropped in recent games as Chelsea have lost four of their last five league matches.
A lot of pressure has now been heaped on the Chelsea youngsters following the drop in form, but Mateo Kovacic has come in defence of the youngsters and believes that they are good enough to be in the team.
“These young players, they are really good and they take the pressure really well,” he said.
“If you’re at Chelsea it doesn’t matter how old you are, you need to be ready to play every week at a high level and that is what we all do, but sometimes in football everything doesn’t go how you want, that was the problem in our last games.
“I don’t like to mention just one, because all of them are doing great and they are Chelsea’s future. The young guys are great guys, laughing all the time, and we also like to joke. It’s an amazing team and we have a lot of fun on the pitch and outside the pitch as well.”
