Chelsea star Christian Pulisic was hauled off after 65 minutes in the 1-0 defeat against the Cherries, along with Willian, when the scores were still level.

Chelsea boss Frank opted to bring in Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mateo Kovacic and Michy Batshuayi in the second half. But the change didn’t have the desired effect as Bournemouth took advantage of a gap in the Chelsea midfield to score late in the game.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has insisted that he has enough quality in the team to rotate the squad.

“Yeah I do at the moment, so it’s something I always look at it,” said Lampard when asked if he has the squad depth required to rotate effectively.

“Players have to show they can come in and make the difference, particularly in a moment like now.”

Meanwhile, Sky Sports pundit and Arsenal legend Paul Merson has criticised Lampard’s tactics against the Cherries.

Speaking about Lampard’s tactics, Merson said: “With Frank, it’s not a good day at the office for him. It was 0-0 and sometimes you have to swallow the pill and settle for a draw.

“He takes off Jorginho and brings on Hudson-Odoi and Batshuayi. Tammy Abraham was already on so he has all these forwards on, everyone is bumping into each other.”
