Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has given update on striker Tammy Abraham after another knock he suffered in the game against Aston Villa.
Abraham had missed Chelsea’s defeat to West Ham due to a hip injury he had suffered in the game against Valencia.
Abraham was taken off against Aston Villa as precautionary measure, but Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed that the 22-year-old is fit to play this weekend against Everton.
“Tammy Abraham is good,” said Lampard in his pre-match press conference.
“He hasn’t done much in between games. We will make sure of that in the morning but at the moment we’re good.”
Lampard also gave good progress on Antonio Rudiger but revealed that this weekend game has come too soon for the Chelsea defender.
He said: “Toni has had a really good week of training. We have had to get him some sort of match fitness which he has gone through this week. Tomorrow comes too soon but he’s had a great week and he’s on the verge.”
