Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has hailed Chelsea boss Frank Lampard for tactically outclassing Tottenham’s boss Jose Mourinho on Sunday.

The Blues returned to winning ways by beating Jose Mourinho’s side 2-0 in their own backyard thanks to a first-half brace from Willian.

Despite losing four of our last five Premier League games, Chelsea were the better side against Tottenham and fully deserved to beat Spurs.

Owen tweeted after the game: “Tactical master class from Frank Lampard. Spurs couldn’t get near his 3-4-2-1 formation in the first half.”

What are your thoughts about Lampard’s tactics against Tottenham?

  1. While the tactical approach saved the defense of the game, I personally think only one person won that game…. Willian, otherwise we have played some games in the past better than that and lost. It was good we won but I guess we can do better than that…
