Chelsea boss Frank Lampard insists he won’t speak with Olivier Giroud despite the striker’s desire to leave the club in January.
Lampard also revealed he is not interested in discussing potential exits with Giroud or any of his unsettled players until January.
Giroud wants to leave Chelsea when the transfer window re-opens having started just two games this season.
Asked if he has spoken to Giroud about his future, Lampard said: “No.”
When asked if he’s planning on doing so, Lampard replied: “No. All the players that are here I won’t have any talk about January until we get to January. Everybody.”
Asked if he wants Giroud to remain at Chelsea, Lampard added: “I am happy for him to stay, as with every player in the squad I want them to be here for Chelsea, have the right professionalism and right desire to be here.
“He has shown me that in his training every day this season. That’s what I am happy with.”
