Frank Lampard has been criticised for not being able to beat any of the big teams in the Premier League this season.
Under Frank Lampard’s guidance, the Blues have lost to all of the top six sides we have met so far. Chelsea have been beaten by Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League and were also beaten by United in the Carabao Cup.
Ahead of Sunday’s game with United, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed that he’s keen on beating a top manager, with Jose Mourinho currently in charge of Tottenham.
Asked if it would mean more to beat Mourinho, Lampard told BBC’s Football Focus: “In my professional head, yes. I want to go up against the best.
“When I’ve gone up against Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp this season, of course you want to say, ‘Can I show against these incredible managers what I can do, what my team can do?’
“So it will be a similar feeling.”
