Chelsea will meet Arsenal next weekend, and the Gunners have confirmed Mikel Arteta as their new manager.
Arteta has spent the past three seasons working as Pep Guardiola’s assistant, and the Spaniard must have garnered valuable working experience under Guardiola.
Also, Everton are on the verge of appointing a new manager, with former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti set to be named as Marco Silva’s permanent replacement at Goodison Park.
Reacting to the two appointments, Lampard said: “Nothing surprises me and those two don’t.
“I know the credentials of Carlo, he is a fantastic man. Arteta is obviously in a different stage of his career.
“What I’ve heard about him, I think it will be a really positive appointment for Arsenal if they make that.”
