Mason Mount showed just how good he can be as he scored a stunning strike in the 48th minute that sealed Chelsea’s victory against Aston Villa.

Chelsea had gone ahead through a Tammy Abraham strike in the 24th minute, but Trezeguet equalised for the Villains just before half time.

Chelsea youngster Mason Mount then scored a stunning strike that will eventually win the game for Chelsea, and his goal would definitely be a contender for the goal of the month.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has hailed Mount’s contribution and insists that the 20-year-old is more than just scoring goals as he rather hailed his general performance.

“I don’t think Mason should be measured solely on goals,” pointed out Lampard.

“We had an international break and he did not start a couple of games but goals are part of his game and his all-round game in the second half is what we expect of him, because it wasn’t just the goal, it was the threat he had from the edge of the box, his link-up and his winning the ball back in high areas which is his game. I thought he had a really good second half.”
