Chelsea boss Frank Lampard switched to a 3-4-3 formation for the victory over Tottenham on Sunday.

A Chelsea fan Opah Ifeanyi Fortune has revealed why Lampard should stick with the formation.

“We have won all three games played using this formation this season,” he wrote on The Real Chelsea Fans’ Facebook page. “The first was against Wolves, followed by Lille and Spurs.

“If you look at this formation very well, you see that it’s tough and difficult to break Chelsea down.

“The good thing is that we are not defensive like Conte’s 3-4-3. The team is set up offensively with a lot of possession.

“The disadvantage is that only two midfielders can be selected to play. It limits the chances of other midfielders from starting.

“For me, this formation is the way to go because we haven’t lost any game this season using this formation and considering the fact that we have been poor defensively all season.”

While I must admit Chelsea have looked solid playing 3-4-3 this season, the Blues have lost using this formation. We used the formation for our Champions League 1-0 defeat to Valencia at Stamford Bridge.
