Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-0 on Saturday to extend the gap with our London rivals to six points.

When Jose Mourinho was appointed as Tottenham Hotspur boss, the Blues were 12 points ahead of Tottenham but that was reduced to just three points before the game on Sunday.

Mourinho was confident he would get all three points against Chelsea but he was tactically outclassed by Frank Lampard as the Blues won 2-0.

Mourinho has always known Chelsea is a bigger club than Tottenham Hotspur as he admitted that during his time as Chelsea boss.

Mourinho said about Tottenham in 2005: “Tottenham will always be under Chelsea’s shadow.”
