It was a shocking defeat at the Goodison Park as Chelsea looked a shadow of themselves against the Toffees.

See the player ratings for this game

Kepa: Made some good saves but was awful for Everton’s third goal with a poor pass to Zouma. Not a good game for the Spaniard. 3/10

Reece James: He wasn’t at his best both defensively and offensively. His crosses weren’t what we’ve been used to from him. 4/10

Christensen: He wasn’t strong at the back today. Struggled against Calvert-Lewin and cost the team at the back with some shambolic defending. 3/10

Zouma: His combination with Christensen was poor and while he was the better of the two centre-backs, he also made telling mistakes at the back. 4/10

Azpilicueta: Started the game poorly, and although he later improved his performance he didn’t look comfortable dishing out crosses from the left flank. 4/10

Kante: Worked hard all over the pitch. He was however lacking quality in the final third and didn’t look his usual self. 6/10

Kovacic: Definitely Chelsea’s best player today. Scored a good goal and kept driving Chelsea forward with his runs. Scored a very good goal. 7/10

Mount: Got into some good positions, but his touch and finishing let him down. Lacked quality in the attack. 4/10

Pulisic: Tried to help the team with some good runs, but his quality was missing in the final move. 6/10

Willian: Worked very hard on the right flank but couldn’t break the Everton defence. 5/10

Tammy Abraham: Didn’t have a clear-cut chance but his holdup play was good. Strong performance up front. 5/10

Subs

Hudson-Odoi: Came on for Willian, but he didn’t impact the game at all. 4/10

Batshuayi: Came on for Reece James, but Chelsea conceded the third goal shortly afterwards, further killing the game. 4/10

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
