Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner in January, with the Blues recently contacting the German club.

Chelsea face competition for the signing of the German goal machine from Manchester United and also Real Madrid.

According to Spanish publication El Desmarque, Real Madrid hope to beat Chelsea to the signing of Werner by offering Luka Jovic and £12.8million for the German.

Jovic joined Madrid in the summer from Eintracht Frankfurt in a £60 million but has struggled in Spain. Having scored just once in the La Liga this season, Real Madrid are reportedly willing to offer Jovic for Werner.
